Gregg Carlson, Chief Executive Officer

Gregg Carlson

Gregg Carlson is the Chief Executive Officer at Lee Wetherington Homes. Gregg started in the homebuilding industry as a laborer and carpenter. In the early 1990s he joined Lee Wetherington Homes and was a major part of the company’s growth through the early 2000s. From 2003 until 2016 he was the Tampa division president for two national homebuilders, returning to Lee Wetherington Homes as the new CEO in September 2016. Gregg and his wife Kari have been married for 26 years, and have a son, Cory, who is a construction manager with a national homebuilder, and a daughter, Cassidy, who is a high school freshman.

Cecelia Davie, Chief Financial Officer

Cecelia Davie

Cecelia Davie joined Lee Wetherington Homes in 1976 and was the first employee of the company. She has held numerous roles such as office manager and bookkeeper, and provided support in the accounting, warranty and human resources departments. Currently, Cecelia holds the position of chief financial officer. Cecilia is a Florida native, originally from Jacksonville.

Todd Hubbard

Todd Hubbard joined the company in 2000 and is the vice president of operations. Todd attended the University of Florida and served in the United States Air Force.Todd has been a licensed commercial swimming pool contractor for over 22 years building approximately 2,000 pools during that time.Currently, Todd holds a certified residential contractor license. Todd is married and has four children.

Jae Cho

Jae Cho was born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated with his family to Venice, Florida, when he was 2 years old. In 1992 he started his career in the homebuilding industry and joined Lee Wetherington Homes in 2005 as the purchasing manager. He is now the vice president of purchasing and estimating. Jae is married with two young children and is a Certified Green Professional by the National Association of Home Builders.

Jack Williams

Jack Williams started with Lee Wetherington Homes in 1995 as a construction superintendent. He was promoted to production manager and then, vice president of construction. Jack left his position at Lee Wetherington Homes to work for another homebuilder in the same capacity. In 2016, after only a few years, Jack returned to Lee Wetherington Homes as vice president of construction. Jack and his wife live in Lakewood Ranch in Sarasota. They have two grown children.

Amy Baldwin Smith

Amy Baldwin-Smith

With more than 20 years of design experience, Amy Baldwin-Smith oversees the Lee Wetherington Homes Design Center as the design center coordinator. Amy is an Allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers and her work has been published in Florida Design magazine. Amy’s prior employment includes seven years as a residential designer at a high-end furniture company, and her experience includes participating in designer showcase homes and designing the interior decoration of several model homes. Amy is married and has one son.

Steve Manka, Customer Care Representative

Steve Manka

Steve Manka joined the company in 2006 as the customer care representative. Steve works in the field with builders, sales representatives and homeowners, fostering trust and facilitating communication. His previous experience, in addition to owning his own company, includes working for Florida Power & Light and East Coast Painters as a superintendent. Steve grew up in Miami and enjoys scuba diving and boating.

Amanda Parks, Administrative Assistant and Accounts Payable

Amanda Parks

Amanda Parks began working part-time for Lee Wetherington Homes as an administrative assistant during her senior year at Lakewood Ranch High School. During that time, Amanda also aided the company in construction permitting. In 2014, Amanda joined the company full-time. Currently, Amanda serves as an administrative assistant and provides support for all activities surrounding accounts payable. Amanda is a native Floridian who lives in Sarasota with her husband and young son.

Chris Stauffer, Lead Builder

Chris Stauffer

Chris Stauffer is a veteran of the construction industry, with more than 20 years experience. A native of New Jersey, Chris moved to Sarasota in 1997. He owned a successful trim carpentry and painting business in the Sarasota area, and then transitioned into construction management. Chris enjoys the many championship golf courses in the area and spending time with his family.

Scott Greer, Lead Builder

Scott Greer

Scott Greer has over 30 years experience in the homebuilding industry, 24 years as a successful and award-winning general contractor and homebuilder in his home state of Iowa. Scott moved to Florida in 2019 and earned his Florida certified building contractors license shortly thereafter. He joined the Lee Wetherington Homes’s team in late 2019. Scott enjoys sports and hunting, and spending time with his two granddaughters.

George Evans

George Evans has worked in the homebuilding industry since the 1980s, starting in his native Indiana and then in Florida since 1997. George knows the business from the ground up – he started as a carpenter and now is a licensed General Contractor. He is a graduate of Purdue University, and he and his wife live in Sarasota with their son and daughter.

David Erchul

David Erchul has been building homes since the 1980s when he started his career in Florida. In 2000 he joined the Lee Wetherington team and built several homes throughout the area. In 2004 he moved to Hawaii and built custom homes in Kapilua-Kona. He returned to Sarasota in 2010 and we are happy to have him back. David enjoys golf and the beach and he lives in Lakewood Ranch, so he’s never far from the job site.

Dave Nemeth, Pool Construction Manager

Dave Nemeth

Dave Nemeth joined the Lee Wetherington Homes team in 2000 as a pool construction manager. Dave is an avid outdoorsman and fisherman who practices catch and release so that fishing is sustained for many generations to come in Florida. Dave has a son who is in college.

Steve Nelson, Architectural Development

Steve Nelson

With nearly 17 years at Lee Wetherington Homes, Steve Nelson has a solid reputation in residential architect development. Steve attended the School of Architecture at the University of Florida’s College of Design, Construction and Planning and served in the Air Force ROTC. Prior to working at Lee Wetherington Homes, Steve designed hundreds of custom homes in the Florida Keys, condominiums, automobile dealerships, large factories and shopping complexes. Steve has lived in southwest Florida for most of his life and enjoys boating, golf, tennis, and flying.

Matt White, Architect Designer and CAD Operator

Matt White

Matt White has over 20 years with Lee Wetherington Homes as an architectural liaison, designer and computer-aided design (CAD) operator. Matt’s 3D models allow the homeowner and the Wetherington team members to look beyond the construction drawings and see the home’s mass, scale and style. Matt was creative at a young age and his design and drafting abilities were nurtured by his highly talented and artistic father, a veteran of World War II.

Sue Clear, Purchasing and Estimating Coordinator

Sue Clear

Sue Clear, like many Lee Wetherington team members, has decades of experience in the homebuilding industry. Born in Pensacola, she worked 23 years as a Construction Estimator and Purchasing Agent before moving to Bradenton in 2016. Sue is married with 3 sons and 2 step-daughters, plus 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons. When she has time, she loves cruising the Caribbean.

Alyson Byrne, Sales Consultant

Alyson Byrne

Alyson Byrne has been one of the Top Ten in new home sales volume in the entire state of Florida for each of the past three years, selling almost $36 million in new homes during that time. Alyson’s experience helps her find the perfect home for her buyers and provide exceptional customer service throughout the process. Alyson is a native of Dublin, Ireland, and has lived in Florida since 1990.

Julie Farrar, Sales Consultant

Julie Farrar

Julie Farrar has been assisting new homebuyers for 10 years in Central and Southwest Florida. She was born and raised in Germany and moved to Florida in 2000 with the International Disney Program. In 2009 she followed her passion and transitioned to a career in homebuilding. Julie loves traveling in her spare time and has two children – Jalen (12) and Marlee (10).
