Lee Wetherington Custom Homes: Tremblay House

Constructing a custom home?

Your builder’s reputation matters.

A custom home, from the initial design process to unpacking boxes on move-in day, should fit the exceptional feel and appearance you envision for a dream build. But incorporating all the impressive indoor and exterior details you desire can be a challenge without an experienced, trusted homebuilder at the helm of your special project. The exciting journey toward constructing your custom home starts by pinpointing that quality firm to bring your specific needs to fruition – and a telltale sign is their reputation within the community.

Lee Wetherington Homes, for instance, has roughly 47 years of expertise building exceptional homes for satisfied customers across the Suncoast. Regardless of your location – Venice, Sarasota, Arcadia, Bradenton, Parrish or anywhere in between – our talented team of forward-thinking designers and builders will construct a custom home from the ground up that perfectly blends exceptional resale and sentimental value. That’s a pledge Lee Wetherington Homes strives to fulfill for thousands of homebuyers across the area, whether they’re a completely new or repeat customers, and it’s a cornerstone of our decades-long investment in our community.

Quality home building touches people’s lives not just by providing premier materials and unparalleled craftsmanship, but through philanthropic activity. For Lee Wetherington, our founder who remains personally vested in our customers’ projects, that generosity is a passion that permeates his homebuilding business.

Wetherington has been involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County since 1991 – even chairing the building committee responsible for funding and constructing three clubs in Sarasota,

Venice and North Port. Wetherington, whose name is affixed to the largest club facility on Fruitville Road, has contributed more than $600,000 to the community’s children through the Kids in College Scholarship Fund, which he founded, and the Boys & Girls Clubs Capital Endowment. Among many additional donations was his involvement on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County beginning in 2001, which later included refurbishing the Bayshore Club’s Teen Center.

Wetherington’s generosity, through our firm’s success, expanded. That included his initial gift of $1 million in 2002 to establish the Lee Wetherington Foundation, administered by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, that has exponentially expanded its focus on impacting less-fortunate and disadvantaged youth since its inception. He’s even helped shape neighborhoods, from spearheading a campaign with the Community Foundation to buy nine duplexes now housing 18 formerly homeless families to his donation of 16.31 acres to Oscar Scherer State Park as a buffer against encroaching urban developments.

Wherever you’re located, your custom home should be built by a firm that cares about the area. And whether that’s with Lee Wetherington Homes – which proudly supports organizations from United Way of Sarasota County to the many listed above – or another homebuilder, philanthropy is evidence of a company’s financial stability and solid stewardship. A dream house should be created to last – and that applies to your builder’s reputation, too.
