Located on the second floor of our contemporary headquarters, the Lee Wetherington Design Center is the start of your guided creative journey. The modern, minimalistic style of this space was developed to allow customers the freedom to focus when hand-picking paint swatches, the latest textures, finishes, forward-thinking amenities, elaborate personal touches and more. Regardless of whether you’re a first-time homebuyer or have built in the past, you’ll never feel alone at any stage of this process with an in-house expert sharing their knowledge on the latest trends, options and our decades of expertise.

Never feel uneasy. Our skilled team has years of expertise guiding customers toward a one-of-a-kind creative vision, and the design center is set up for you to focus on one aspect of your home at a time. There’s a lot that goes into designing and building a custom home, and our team is here to guide you every step of the way.

Our sales and architectural design team discuss your family, your lifestyle and how you would like your new home to function. From there we will present a variety of inspirational concepts that meet your needs and customize to make these plans perfect for you.  


Alternatively, we can design completely from scratch. It’s all about you and, together, we will figure out the “how” to bring your vision to life.  

This is what we call a “front elevation.” Once you approve your designed floor plan, we will create a custom front elevation in your chosen style. We have many examples in a variety of styles to inspire you, and our team then applies your favorite to your custom plan.  
Once your floor plan and front elevation are designed, they will be priced and presented to you. At Lee Wetherington Homes, we guarantee complete pricing. This means the price at contract is the price of your home – and it will not increase during construction.  

You will receive a detailed list, room by room, of every finish that is included in your price. The only instance with which the price can change is if you decide to make additions to the home.  
You will work with our talented team at the Lee Wetherington Design Center, choosing all the colors and finishes for your home. Your personal designer will assist you with creating this dream. Starting with your inspiration, our design team will guide you through a process for building your home’s palette room by room.  

Making selections all inclusively and in advance of construction allows you to see the full picture of your home’s design. This practice also gives our team the chance to customize your permit set of plans, pre-order materials and anticipate long lead times or supply chain issues.

Our state-of-the-art design center is a complete resource for the materials and finishes for your home. Our team will assist you with researching and sourcing special items upon your request.
In order for our team to pre-order materials and schedule trade partners well in advance, we have to restrict changes after permitting. Our milestone timeline provides guidelines for when items can be adjusted.
