Lee Wetherington Homes Breaks Ground on New Company Headquarters

A groundbreaking ceremony was held recently to commemorate the start of Lee Wetherington Homes’s new company headquarters on Fruitville Road in Sarasota. The Lee Wetherington Design Center and administrative staff will be located on the second floor of the 15,000-square-foot building. The first floor will be leased to other tenants. The staff is scheduled to move into the new offices in mid 2020. Lee Wetherington Homes has been located in the Lakewood Ranch Corporate Park since 2001. “Lee Wetherington Homes has been a leader in luxury homebuilding in the Sarasota area since 1974,” said Gregg Carlson, the company’s CEO. “Our new headquarters reflects our commitment to and our confidence in the future growth of the Sarasota/Manatee area.” The building features a contemporary design, with large glass panels and a 2-story lobby. It was designed by Hoyt Architects of Sarasota. The building is located about 1.5 miles east of I-75 on Fruitville Road.
